Its a great pleasure and satisfaction to see people recognize you for your #volunteer contribution to the society and particularly to the #resarch community. At #ISM2022 Foivos Psarommatis received the #best #reviewer award for his exceptional reviews provided in numerous of research works. The #ISM2022 community decided to award him this prize for being an #outstanding member of the International program committee, whose insightful and supportive feedback has helped authors substantially improve their papers in the peer-review process and for the contribution to the growth of the conference community.
The purpose of the peer review process is twofold: a) to assure that the quality of the paper is sufficient for being published and b) which is more important than the first one provide constructive feedback to the authors for improving their paper and transfer some of your knowledge and approach to them. In other words peer review is a #collaborative #learning process, that both parties are learning and educating.
The only way for high quality research is by having high quality reviewers. One of the most effective ways of giving back is volunteering your time for a #common #purpose. Our #time is valuable and gifting it can make a world of difference in the lives of many.
